Thanks to everyone for your posts, calls, and support over the past several weeks! We have appreciated them greatly.
Over the past two months we have invested tremendous time and energy in cleaning up the damage of the June 11 hailstorm. Our berry fields are healing and soon will start getting ready for winter. We won’t know until next spring how good the crop will be, but we are hopeful!
We have one big project left this season, and I’m wondering if there are some folks who could help us out? Because we had to lay off all of our summer staff, we did not have our normal work crew available in August to complete the pruning of our raspberry fields. We have made a start, but still have a ways to go.
Since many hands make light work, we’re inviting folks to join us this Saturday morning or afternoon, September 9, or Sunday afternoon, September 10 to help complete the job.
As a way of expressing our appreciation, we’ll provide a $20 gift certificate toward any pick-your-own crop purchase in 2018 or 2019 for everyone who can help us with a 2 ½ to 3-hour shift.
In later posts (and on our website, www.berrypatchmn.com), we’ll tell you about a couple other things coming up, but for now, we’ll end the same way we began: Thank you! We look forward to seeing you at the Patch either this weekend or next June!
